These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aitihasik mobile application and website ("Service"), operated by BartLabs ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Use of Service
Aitihasik is a cultural heritage exploration platform. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes including:
- Exploring information about temples, artifacts, and inscriptions
- Using the AI scanner to analyse photographs of heritage artifacts
- Accessing maps, pilgrimage guides, and educational content
- Participating in knowledge quizzes
- Saving favourites and tracking visited sites
Your Account
You may create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission.
Content & Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Service — including temple data, descriptions, illustrations, 3D models, and educational material — is owned by BartLabs or used under appropriate licences.
Historical and archaeological information is presented for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all historical interpretations are authoritative. Users should consult academic sources for scholarly research.
User Content
When you upload photographs for AI analysis, you retain ownership of your photos. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process the image for the purpose of providing analysis results. We do not store uploaded images after analysis is complete.
AI Analysis Disclaimer
The AI-powered artifact and inscription analysis is provided as an educational tool. Results are generated by machine learning models and may contain inaccuracies. AI analysis should not be considered a substitute for professional archaeological assessment or academic research.
Prohibited Uses
- Using the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Scraping, data mining, or bulk downloading of content
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or copy the AI models
- Uploading harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Interfering with the operation of the Service
- Reselling or redistributing Service content commercially
Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BartLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Profile section. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
